According to police, the racket had a widespread supply chain extending across Delhi-NCR, Kolkata, and several parts of Northeast India.

During the raid, Crime Branch officials recovered a massive stock of counterfeit medical products, including: Rabies vaccines, Hepatitis-B vaccines, Human Albumin injections, Insulin injections, Snake venom antiserum, Cancer medicines and antibiotics.

Police also seized packaging and relabeling machinery allegedly used to give fake medicines the appearance of genuine pharmaceutical products.

Investigators said the racket posed a serious threat to public health as the seized drugs included critical life-saving medicines used in emergency and high-risk medical treatment.

The alleged kingpin of the network, who was operating from Mukherjee Nagar, was arrested along with associates from Haryana and Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh).

Officials stated that the accused were involved in illegal manufacturing, relabeling, and distribution of counterfeit medicines through organised channels.

The operation was led by Inspector Lichman under the supervision of ACP Sunil Srivastava and overall guidance of DCP Pankaj Kumar.

Further investigation is underway to identify the broader network, supply routes, and possible links with illegal pharmaceutical operators in other states.
