18 Bangladeshi Nationals Nabbed in Delhi, 8 Indians Also Arrested

NEW DELHI: In Delhi, the police have been actively cracking down on Bangladeshi nationals residing in the city illegally. Recently, the South Delhi police achieved a significant breakthrough by dismantling a gang that was aiding these individuals. A total of eight Indian nationals have been arrested in connection with this operation, with Moinuddin being identified as the main culprit. Moinuddin was responsible for producing counterfeit Aadhar cards, voter IDs, and other fraudulent documents for numerous individuals.

According to the police, they have taken action against 18 Bangladeshi nationals, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals. Six others are currently under investigation. Additionally, eight Indian nationals have been apprehended for their involvement in assisting the illegal immigrants.

DCP South Delhi Ankit Kumar Singh disclosed that they received intelligence regarding the illegal activities of Bangladeshi nationals and identified Indian accomplices who aided them in securing employment, forging documents, and transferring money. Among the arrested individuals, Moinuddin played a pivotal role in orchestrating the fake document scheme. He was instrumental in producing counterfeit Aadhar and voter IDs for individuals lacking proper documentation. A total of 23 voter cards and 19 PAN cards were confiscated during the operation.

Shahin, a man who was paying a monthly salary of ₹15,000, was recently arrested, revealing a larger network of individuals involved in illegal activities. Rizol, initially believed to be an Indian citizen with valid documents incliding passport, was discovered to be Bangladeshi. He was receiving money from others and illegally transferring it to Bangladesh from a location near the Bangladesh-India border where he worked for the UPI.

A total of 18 Bangladeshis have been targeted in the investigation, resulting in multiple arrests. Eight individuals have been taken into custody, six have been deported, and an inquiry is underway for the remaining four. Additionally, eight Indian nationals have also been arrested and are facing legal consequences.

The authorities are diligently working to uncover the extent of this illegal operation and bring all involved parties to justice.
