300 Delhi Police Personnel Sweep Bhalswa–Burari in Mega Night Operation; Illegal Arms, 650 Liquor Quarters Seized

New Delhi: In a high-impact crackdown, Delhi Police carried out a massive joint combing and search operation across Bhalswa Dairy and Burari, deploying nearly 300 personnel to target crime hotspots in Outer-North and North districts.

Led by Joint Commissioner of Police (Northern Range) Vijay Singh, the coordinated operation aimed at curbing criminal activities, detecting illegal arms and contraband, and reinforcing police visibility in sensitive areas. The drive was conducted under the overall guidance of DCP Hareshwar Swami (Outer-North) and DCP Raja Banitha (North), with close supervision by Addl. DCP Amit Kaushik and Addl. DCP Ravinandhan BM.

The late-evening operation, which ran from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, focused on vulnerable pockets including Mukundpur, Bhalswa Dairy, and West Kamal Vihar in Burari. Police teams were deployed in a synchronized manner to seal escape routes and ensure effective area domination.

A total of 43 teams were mobilized, including 20 teams for door-to-door searches and verification, 12 teams for strategic picketing and cordoning, and 11 teams for patrolling and surveillance.

Key Results of the Operation:

  • 10 cases registered under the Arms Act; 3 illegal firearms and 7 knives recovered
  • 650 quarters of illicit liquor seized; multiple cases registered under the Excise Act
  • 208 individuals verified or detained during the drive
  • 39 two-wheelers seized as part of enforcement action
  • Legal action initiated under BNSS and Delhi Police Act in several cases

Officials stated that the operation not only led to significant seizures but also created a strong deterrent effect, boosting public confidence and safety in the area.

Issuing a public advisory, Delhi Police reiterated its commitment to proactive policing, maintaining law and order, and ensuring peace and harmony across the capital.
