Delhi Crime Branch Nabs Proclaimed Offender in Excise Case After Year-Long Evasion

Date:

New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a proclaimed offender in an Excise Act case who had been evading arrest for over a year.

Acting on precise intelligence inputs and technical surveillance, the team successfully tracked down the accused from Madanpur Khadar. The individual had been declared an absconder by a court in June 2025 after repeatedly avoiding legal proceedings.

Police officials stated that sustained efforts and coordinated tracking led to the arrest, marking a key success in the ongoing crackdown against offenders evading the law.

The operation was carried out by a team led by Inspector Veer Singh under the supervision of ACP Satender Mohan and DCP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.

Officials termed the arrest a major step in ensuring accountability and reinforcing law enforcement efforts in the capital.
