Minister Verma Vows to Implement Delhi Master Plan 2041 with Transparency and Accountability, 48 villages to get urbanised

Date:

New Delhi: The Delhi Master Plan 2041 is poised for imminent implementation, with plans to urbanize 48 villages across the national capital, Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Verma announced on Saturday.

During his visit to Daulatpur village in southwest Delhi, the minister revealed that the first property registrations under the Lal Dora category will be offered at no cost. This initiative aims to resolve longstanding property disputes and empower residents to secure legal ownership documents without incurring financial burdens.

“The long-awaited Master Plan 2041 is in its final stages and will soon be put into action. Our objective extends beyond merely formulating policies; we are committed to their transparent and accountable execution on the ground,” Verma stated to reporters.

He emphasized that the Master Plan 2041 will transform the landscape of Delhi’s villages, equipping the rural population with amenities comparable to those found in urban areas.

Under this ambitious initiative, the urbanization of approximately 48 villages represents a significant shift in the capital’s development strategy. The minister highlighted that this transformation will not only foster infrastructural growth but also enhance access to essential urban services, including paved roads, efficient drainage systems, reliable water supply, street lighting, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
