Delhi Achieves Target of Opening 100 Atal Canteens Offering Meals for ₹5: Ashish Sood

Date:

New Delhi: Delhi minister Ashish Sood has said that the government has achieved its target of opening 100 Atal Canteens across the Capital.

Sood made the announcement through a post on his official X account.

“The target of opening 100 Atal Canteens in Delhi has been completed,” the minister stated.

According to Sood, the canteens are providing filling and nutritious meals to workers and other people in need for ₹5.

He said the initiative forms part of the government’s public-welfare measures under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and reflects its commitment to the objective of Antyodaya.

The minister’s post did not provide the location-wise list of all 100 canteens, their daily operating hours, meal capacity, menu or expenditure incurred on the programme.

Independent confirmation from the department responsible for operating the canteens was not immediately available.

Sood shared a 75-second video with the X post.
