New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police have advised commuters to avoid roads surrounding Anand Vihar ISBT where possible on August 27 and 28 because of an expected increase in pedestrian and vehicular movement during Raksha Bandhan.
The advisory was issued through a post on the department’s official X account.
Traffic is expected to be heavier around Anand Vihar ISBT, Road No. 56, NH-9 and Vikas Marg.
Commuters have been asked to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes where possible.
Motorists have also been requested to remain patient, follow traffic rules and cooperate with traffic personnel deployed on the ground.
Delhi Traffic Police advised road users to follow diversion signs and directions issued by personnel to avoid congestion.
