The meeting was attended by Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood, Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh, MCD Commissioner Ashwani Kumar, senior MCD officials, and representatives from concerned departments.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister issued strict directions to remove Delhi’s three landfill sites, also known as garbage mountains, by December 2026. She emphasized that the long-standing waste management challenge must be addressed with urgency.

The CM also announced that the ongoing ‘Delhi Ko Koode Se Azadi’ campaign has been extended until October 2, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti, to strengthen cleanliness drives across the city.
