Snatcher Caught Red-Handed in Dwarka; Police Nab Accused Within 100 Metres After Bus Theft

New Delhi: In a swift action, Delhi Police apprehended a snatching accused red-handed in Dwarka during a morning picket operation on Ramapark Road.

The team led by Sub-Inspector Rajat Malik acted promptly after a man stole a mobile phone from a woman inside a bus and attempted to flee. Upon hearing the victim raise an alarm, police chased the accused and managed to nab him within 100 metres of the spot.

The accused has been identified as Yogendra Sharma (38), a resident of Mohan Garden. Police recovered the stolen mobile phone and arrested him on the spot.

Officials confirmed that the accused was produced before the court, which denied him bail the same day. The incident highlights the alertness and quick response of the police in preventing street crimes in the area.
