₹30 Lakh Drug Bust in Delhi! ANS Nabs Nepali Smuggler with 1.7 Kg Charas, Gurugram Hideout Exposed

New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough against narcotics trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Squad (ANS) of South-East District Police has busted an active drug supply chain and arrested a 25-year-old Nepali national with 1.755 kilograms of charas valued at approximately ₹30 lakh in the illegal market.

Acting on credible intelligence inputs and technical surveillance on February 11, the ANS team conducted a targeted operation near Metro Pillar No. 42, Guru Nihal Singh Marg, Amar Colony, Delhi.

During the operation, a suspicious individual carrying a blue backpack was intercepted. Upon search, police recovered 1.296 kilograms of charas concealed inside the bag.

The accused has been identified as Man Bahadur (25), son of Kaldoch, a resident of Lal Bandi village, Sarlahi district, Nepal. The contraband was seized in accordance with legal procedures. Man Bahadur is a Nepal national. Preliminary verification indicates that he has no prior criminal record.

An FIR (No. 74/26 dated 11.02.2026) under Section 20 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Amar Colony, and further investigation was initiated.

Additional Recovery from Gurugram Hideout

Following sustained interrogation, the accused led police to his rented accommodation in Gurugram, where an additional 459 grams of charas was recovered during a raid.

With this, the total recovery in the case stands at 1.755 kilograms of charas.

Interrogation & Network Probe

During questioning, the accused admitted his involvement in drug trafficking and disclosed that the narcotics were meant for supply across Delhi and adjoining NCR areas.

Police officials stated that efforts are underway to identify:

  • The source of procurement
  • Forward linkages and local distributors
  • Other associates active within the Delhi-NCR drug network

Investigators are now focusing on dismantling the larger supply chain and tracing financial and logistical links connected to the seized narcotics. Officials have reiterated their commitment to intensifying enforcement under the NDPS Act to curb drug trafficking across the capital region.
