‘Make Delhi Safer’: LG Taranjit Sandhu Meets Police Top Brass, Reviews Security

New Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu held a high-level meeting with the senior leadership of Delhi Police, including the Commissioner and Special Commissioners, to review the law and order situation in the national capital.

During the interaction, the Lieutenant Governor appreciated the efforts of the police force and acknowledged the challenges faced by them in maintaining security in a complex urban environment like Delhi.

He encouraged the police leadership to further strengthen policing mechanisms to ensure a safe and secure environment for residents. Emphasising Delhi’s importance as the national capital, Sandhu said policing standards must reflect the city’s stature and India’s growing global leadership.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination, improving public safety measures, and aligning policing strategies with the broader vision of national leadership.

The Lieutenant Governor reiterated that a robust and citizen-centric policing system is essential to ensure law and order in the capital and to meet the expectations of a rapidly evolving global city.
