Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma Launches Helplines 1916 for Jal Board and 1908 for PWD Complaints

Date:

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma has taken a proactive step to address complaints related to the Jal Board and the PWD department by issuing two helpline numbers. The helpline number for Jal Board complaints is 1916, while the number for PWD-related complaints is 1908.

Verma shared this important information on his social media account, highlighting the need for a more accessible and user-friendly system for filing complaints. He recounted a recent meeting with the PWD department where he discovered that none of the 20 senior officials present could recall the existing 10-digit helpline number. This prompted Verma to question the practicality of such a lengthy number and advocate for a simpler alternative.

Expressing concern over the difficulty faced by both officials and the public in remembering the existing helpline number, Verma urged the Indian government to introduce a more manageable four-digit number. As a result of his efforts, the 1908 helpline number was established and is now operational for all PWD-related complaints.

Verma’s initiative not only streamlines the complaint process but also underscores the importance of efficient and accessible government services for the citizens of Delhi.
