New Delhi: At least seven people, including women and children, were injured in an LPG cylinder blast at a residential building in Swaroop Nagar, Outer North Delhi, on March 3, 2026.
According to Delhi Police, information regarding the explosion at House No. 134, F-Block, Gali No. 4, was received at Police Station Swaroop Nagar. A police team rushed to the spot and found that a small LPG cylinder had exploded inside a room on the third floor of the 25-square-yard property.
The room was occupied by a tenant family of four members. Five persons, including one woman and two children present on the third floor, sustained injuries in the blast. Additionally, two women residing on the second floor were also injured due to the impact.
All injured persons were shifted to Burari Hospital for medical treatment. Fire officials managed to extinguish the blaze promptly, preventing further damage.
Police stated that further inquiry is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the explosion. Appropriate legal action will be initiated as per law based on the findings of the investigation.
