Dwarka Businessman Abducted and Murdered in Alleged Honey Trap; Body Recovered in Mathura

Date:

New Delhi/Mathura: In a sensational crime that has shocked the capital, a 48-year-old businessman from Dwarka was allegedly lured into a honey trap, abducted, and brutally murdered. His dismembered body was later recovered from a river in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh.

The deceased has been identified as Anuroop Gupta, a resident of Radhika Apartments in Dwarka Sector 14. According to preliminary information, Gupta was kidnapped on February 18 from the Bendapur area. Nearly ten days later, his mutilated remains were discovered in Mathura.

Police sources revealed that the body had been severed into multiple parts, with the hands, legs, and head allegedly cut off and disposed of separately in an apparent attempt to conceal identity and destroy evidence.

Investigators suspect that the victim may have been trapped through a honey trap scheme before being targeted for kidnapping and murder. Law enforcement agencies are examining call detail records, financial transactions, and digital footprints to trace the accused and reconstruct the sequence of events.

The case has triggered widespread concern in Dwarka and surrounding areas. Delhi Police, in coordination with Uttar Pradesh authorities, are pursuing multiple leads. Officials stated that teams are working round the clock to identify and apprehend those involved in the gruesome crime.
