New Delhi: Water supply will continue in 22 areas of Delhi until November 8 despite the annual maintenance of the Upper Ganga Canal, the Delhi Jal Board has clarified, rejecting reports suggesting disruption in the areas concerned.
The board said raw water is being drawn from the Yamuna instead of the Ganga during this period. Residents may therefore notice a slight change in the taste of the supplied water.

Supply to continue during canal maintenance
“The water supply will be uninterrupted across all the concerned areas, and no inconvenience will be caused to the public,” the board said in its clarification.
The assurance relates to the 22 areas covered by the clarification. The change in raw-water source, the board said, may affect taste while supply continues.
Residents advised to follow official updates
The Delhi Jal Board described the circulating information as misleading and advised residents to rely on official communications for accurate updates about water supply.
