Parvesh stressed the importance of legalizing water connections and making them more accessible to the public. He acknowledged that current water connection rates are exorbitant, leading many to resort to illegal connections. Parvesh announced a review of these rates to encourage more people to connect legally. Additionally, he mentioned the imposition of penalties on those found illegally consuming water after a specified deadline. To monitor water supply and ensure transparency, new tenders are being issued for GPS-enabled tankers, which will be tracked using GPS technology, with detailed documentation of water distribution points.
