Three Deaths in One Car: What Happened Under Peeragarhi Flyover? Police Probe, Families Question Details

Date:

New Delhi: The mystery surrounding the discovery of three bodies inside a parked car under Delhi’s Peeragarhi flyover remains unresolved, with police awaiting key forensic and postmortem findings.

According to officials, police received a PCR call on Sunday afternoon reporting a white car parked in a secluded area beneath the flyover, with three people lying unconscious inside. A team rushed to the spot and found the vehicle’s owner, Randhir (around 76), on the driver’s seat. In the rear seat area, police found Laxmi (around 40) and Shiv Naresh (around 46), all unresponsive.

The bodies were sent to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where a medical board is scheduled to conduct postmortem examinations. Police said the exact cause of death will be clearer once the postmortem report and viscera analysis are received. Investigators are currently examining multiple angles, including the possibility of poisoning, while stressing that conclusions will be based on medical and forensic evidence.

Police have begun questioning family members and relatives to map the relationships between the three and to establish a timeline — including when they left, where they went, and who they met. Preliminary information suggests Randhir and Shiv Naresh were involved in property-related work for several years. The woman, Laxmi, is said to have been associated with Shiv Naresh, though her family had not reached Delhi at the time of reporting, according to local accounts.

Family members of Shiv Naresh have raised questions about the circumstances, pointing to gaps they believe need clarity, including who was seated where inside the vehicle and whether any additional person could have been involved. Police are also examining the movement of a motorcycle allegedly used by Shiv Naresh to reach Randhir before both left in the car.

Officials said further details will emerge after postmortem results, CCTV checks, and technical investigation. The police have assured that all aspects are being thoroughly verified to determine how the three deaths occurred.
