New Delhi: A Delhi court on Monday granted a 10-day custody to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for Amir Rasheed Ali, the accused in the car blast case near Red Fort, Delhi.
The accused was produced before the Principal District and Sessions Judge at the Patiala House Court complex under tight security arrangements.
According to police officials, Delhi Police and Rapid Action Force (RAF) personnel were deployed around the court complex. Additional measures including anti-riot squads were stationed to prevent any untoward incidents.
Officials stated that Amir Rasheed Ali was arrested by the NIA on Sunday. The Hyundai i20 car involved in the blast near Red Fort was registered in his name.
The car laden with explosives exploded on November 10 near Red Fort, killing 13 people and injuring several others.
