Break-In at Kailash Satyarthi Foundation Office! Police Scan CCTV, Lift Fingerprints in Kalkaji

New Delhi: Delhi Police have registered an FIR following a lock-breaking incident at the office of the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation located in Kalkaji.

According to police, a PCR call was received at Police Station Kalkaji on February 28, 2026, at 10:08 am (DD No. 36A), reporting that the lock of the foundation’s office had been broken. The call was made by Faraz Alam, Administrative Head of the foundation.

Acting swiftly, the SHO of Kalkaji along with local police personnel reached the spot and secured the scene of crime. Preliminary inquiry confirmed that the premises had been breached. While the complainant stated that an exact list of stolen items would be available only after an internal inventory audit, visible signs of forced entry were documented at the site.

The Crime Team of the South East District conducted a detailed forensic inspection. Multiple chance fingerprints were lifted for biometric analysis. CCTV footage from the surrounding area and nearby establishments is currently being examined to identify the individuals involved.

Based on initial findings, an FIR has been registered under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and further investigation is underway.

DCP South East Hemant Tiwari stated that all angles are being examined and that police teams are working to identify and apprehend those responsible. He added that forensic evidence and CCTV inputs are being carefully analyzed to ensure a thorough probe.
