New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that she will personally serve as the in-charge minister for Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, underscoring her government’s commitment to accelerate key development works with transparency and accountability.
Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Delhi Secretariat in the presence of Chandni Chowk MP and Union Minister of State Praveen Khandelwal, CM Gupta directed officials to establish continuous coordination with elected representatives and ensure that all projects related to education, healthcare, and infrastructure move forward at a faster pace.
The Chief Minister emphasized that her government’s top priority is to guarantee that the benefits of government schemes and civic facilities reach citizens directly and without delay.

As part of the review, the Delhi government also announced plans for the construction of modern gaushalas (cow shelters) in every district and the establishment of pink toilets in major markets to improve public amenities.
The meeting was attended by MLAs, councillors, and senior officials from concerned departments, who pledged to intensify implementation efforts across Chandni Chowk and ensure timely delivery of projects.
