Delhi CM Rekha Gupta Slams Neglect of IHBAS, Announces Modernization with New MRI, CT Scan and Advanced Facilities

Date:

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday expressed deep disappointment after inspecting the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Dilshad Garden, stating that the hospital has been neglected for over a decade.

She pointed out that since 2012, no new MRI or CT scan machines have been installed at IHBAS, calling it proof of the “insensitivity of the previous government, which ignored the healthcare needs of citizens.”

The CM announced that her government has taken a major decision to completely revamp IHBAS with state-of-the-art infrastructure, high-tech diagnostic machines, and modern healthcare facilities. Gupta confirmed that a new OPD section will also be constructed to ensure patients receive timely and quality medical care.

“Delhiites will no longer face neglect and delays. Our government will ensure access to advanced medical treatment and modern facilities within this financial year,” CM Gupta said, reaffirming her government’s resolve.

She further added that the initiative will strengthen IHBAS’s capacity, enhance patient care, and transform it into a reliable, accessible, and high-quality treatment center for the people of Delhi.
