Parvesh Verma Remembers Father Sahib Singh Verma’s Legacy at Prayer Meet

Date:

New Delhi: At a solemn prayer meet marking the 18th death anniversary of former Delhi Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma, his son and Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma offered an emotional tribute, recalling the tragic accident that claimed his father’s life and the difficult road to recovery that followed.

“I am grateful to everyone who have gathered here,” Parvesh Verma said, addressing attendees. “He died in an accident 18 years ago. The condition of our family and mine was very bad then. From that point, we moved ahead, and it became possible only because of your support.”

Sharing a deeply personal moment, he recalled how one of the three others who were in the vehicle during the accident spent his final moments pleading with passersby to save Sahib Singh Verma. “That was the kind of emotional connection he had with people,” Verma added.
