New Delhi: In a major daylight robbery in the national capital, armed assailants looted over ₹1 crore worth of gold, silver, and cash from a jewelry store in Delhi’s Dyalpur area on Monday evening. The target was “Zubi Jewellers,” located in a busy marketplace surrounded by several other jewelry shops.
According to preliminary reports, a group of four to five robbers stormed the shop around evening hours. Four of them entered the store while one stood guard outside, reportedly acting as a lookout. The robbers closed the shutter from inside, pulled out firearms, and took the shop owner and several customers hostage at gunpoint.
The robbers executed the entire heist in approximately 20–25 minutes. During this time, they looted over 1 kilogram of gold, nearly 15 kilograms of silver, and an undisclosed amount of cash, as claimed by members of the local jewelry association. Eyewitnesses and shop owners in the vicinity said the criminals acted with precision and speed, indicating a well-planned operation.

The Dyalpur Police Station has initiated a probe into the high-profile robbery. Teams are analyzing CCTV footage from nearby establishments and collecting forensic evidence from the crime scene. However, Delhi Police has not officially confirmed the total value of the loot at this stage.
The incident has sparked fear and outrage in the local business community, with demands for increased security in jewelry hubs. Authorities are urging citizens to come forward with any information that could aid the investigation.
