New Delhi: A shocking viral video from Delhi has triggered widespread outrage after it captured a youth performing a dangerous stunt on a moving car — climbing out of the window, sitting on the roof, and then kissing his girlfriend while the vehicle continued to move through public traffic.
The clip, recorded by a commuter driving behind the HR-registered vehicle near J-Block, Saket, shows the young man leaning out of the window, pulling himself onto the car roof, and moments later bending down to kiss the girl seated inside. The visuals have been described by viewers as reckless, obscene, and life-threatening.
“If he dies tomorrow, parents will blame the police,” says witness in viral clip
The eyewitness who filmed the video can be heard angrily commenting on the stunt, warning that such behaviour could lead to a fatal accident and that the family would then blame authorities instead of the youth’s actions.
The video has gone viral across platforms, with many users slamming the couple for turning public roads into a “stunt arena” and for normalising dangerous behaviour for social media attention.

Delhi Traffic Police responds with immediate action
Taking note of the viral footage, the Delhi Traffic Police issued a statement on X confirming that the accused has been penalised:
“Life is precious. In this case, the accused has been punished under Section 189 MVA and Section 184 MVA. Do not endanger your life or others by violating traffic rules.”
These sections deal with dangerous driving, negligent acts, and endangering public safety.

Why this stunt is extremely dangerous
Traffic experts say the youth risked:
- Falling off the moving vehicle
- Head or spine injuries from impact
- Causing pile-up crashes behind him
- Losing balance during braking or turns
Performing such acts while engaging in intimate gestures — such as kissing — further reduces awareness and control, making the stunt even more hazardous.
Appeal for responsible behaviour
The incident has once again sparked debate on the rising trend of social-media-driven stunts.
Authorities have urged citizens to remember:
Roads are not meant for risky theatrics or viral clips — one careless moment can end a life.
