RailOne App to Enhance Last-Mile Connectivity with Bharat Taxi Integration

Date:

New Delhi: In a significant move to improve passenger experience, Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, chaired a review meeting at Rail Bhawan today. The meeting focused on assessing progress in station access, upgrades to passenger amenities, and security enhancements. Key topics included access control, crowd management, technology-driven surveillance, and mobility improvements within station premises. These reforms will initially be implemented at New Delhi Railway Station, with plans to expand to other stations based on insights gained.

To further enhance the travel experience for passengers at New Delhi Railway Station, the RailOne App will be integrated with Bharat Taxi. This integration, developed in collaboration with RailTel, aims to alleviate congestion outside the station, minimize passenger inconvenience, and offer a reliable last-mile transport solution.

Bharat Taxi, India’s first cooperative-led ride-hailing platform, marks a significant step in the Government of India’s efforts to bolster the cooperative sector and promote inclusive, citizen-centric mobility solutions, aligning with the vision of ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’.
