New Delhi: Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Khirwar, along with senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection across the Najafgarh and West Zones, reviewing sanitation systems, infrastructure projects, and veterinary services with a focus on strengthening civic delivery.
In the Najafgarh Zone, key facilities including the Dog Crematorium, Animal Birth Control Centre, and a proposed dog shelter site were inspected. The Commissioner directed officials to expand and upgrade these facilities to enhance veterinary care and animal management services in the area.
At Goyla Dairy, the cattle dung processing plant was also reviewed. Officials were given firm instructions to expedite the project and ensure its timely completion, highlighting its importance in sustainable waste management.
In the West Zone, inspections at Raghuvir Nagar, including IT-WOW and Material Recovery Facility (MRF), as well as Hastsal, focused on improving waste processing capacity. The Commissioner directed officials to identify suitable land for establishing a new waste management facility to meet growing urban demands.
The inspection reinforced MCD’s commitment to building a cleaner, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable Delhi through targeted infrastructure upgrades and improved service delivery.
