Jaitpur Building Collapse: 7 Dead, Including 2 Children, After Wall Crashes Amid Heavy Rain in Delhi

New Delhi: A tragic building collapse in Jaitpur has claimed seven lives, including three men, two women, and two children, after a house wall suddenly caved in late last night. The incident occurred amid continuous heavy rainfall in Delhi-NCR, which has already damaged several weak structures in the area.

According to initial reports, the wall collapse buried all seven victims under the debris. Rescue teams, along with the local administration, rushed to the spot and immediately began search and rescue operations. Officials have not ruled out the possibility of more people being trapped under the rubble.

Eyewitnesses described a loud crash before the wall came down, reducing a section of the house to rubble within seconds. Authorities are currently clearing the debris to ensure no other victims remain trapped.

Heavy rains over the past 24 hours have caused widespread damage in low-lying and structurally weak areas across Delhi, raising fresh concerns over monsoon-related urban safety.
