New Delhi: In a shocking case of school violence in Delhi, a minor girl studying in Class 12 was brutally attacked with a blade by her own schoolmates in Rohini Sector 20. The incident, which took place on September 9, left the victim with nearly 50 stitches on her face and waist, after a group of three minor girls launched a violent assault following a petty dispute.
According to police, the attack stemmed from a minor quarrel between the victim and the sister of one of the accused girls. Enraged, the three minors cornered the girl outside the school, first slapped her, and then attacked her with a blade. The entire incident was caught on CCTV, which clearly shows a mob of girls pouncing on the victim.
Family members alleged negligence, claiming that no immediate police support was provided after the incident. However, Rohini DCP later clarified via an official statement that all three accused minors have been taken into custody and a detailed probe is underway.
Eyewitnesses told police that the fight could have turned even more fatal, as the attackers appeared determined to cause serious harm. Locals expressed shock that teenage girls carried out such a violent act over a trivial issue.
The victim, a resident of Rohini Sector 20’s Aman Vihar area, is currently recovering in hospital. Doctors confirmed she sustained deep cuts, requiring multiple stitches.
Police have assured the family that strict action will be taken against the accused under relevant sections of law dealing with juvenile crime, assault, and school violence.
