Accelerated Construction of New Hospital Block in Rohini’s Ambedkar Hospital: Delhi CM

Date:

New Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is pushing for rapid progress on key infrastructure projects in northwest Delhi, focusing on healthcare improvements and urban development. In a recent review meeting, CM Gupta directed officials to accelerate the construction of a new block at Dr. BR Ambedkar Hospital, ensuring patients gain access to a state-of-the-art medical facility with modern equipment and enhanced comfort.

The meeting centered on ongoing development initiatives across various assembly constituencies in the northwest region, encompassing crucial aspects like road improvements, water supply enhancements, drain maintenance, street lighting upgrades, and comprehensive drainage solutions.

Beyond the hospital project, CM Gupta also instructed the tourism department to devise a plan for revitalizing the historical site in Tikri Village, linked to the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, aiming to promote local tourism and preserve historical significance. Commuters can anticipate smoother travels as the renovation of the heavily-used Ring Road from Vikaspuri to Mukarba Chowk was a key topic.

CM Gupta emphasized the expansion of the road’s green belt, seeking to improve its visual appeal and mitigate environmental concerns along the route.

She announced a site inspection of the project’s progress scheduled for June 30th. Elderly residents in Rohini Sector-4 are set to benefit from the accelerated construction of a new old-age home.

Furthermore, recognizing the importance of public transportation, CM Gupta ordered a comprehensive upgrade of Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus stands in the area, incorporating modern amenities such as comfortable seating, shaded areas, and improved sanitation.

Addressing recreational needs, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi was directed to open the Mangolpuri stadium for public access. During the meeting, Rithala MLA Shri Kulwant Rana brought attention to issues surrounding land allocation for educational institutions and the hazard of exposed electrical wires.

The Chief Minister promptly instructed the relevant departments to provide detailed reports on these matters. Recognizing the vulnerability of Narela villages to waterlogging, CM Gupta stressed the urgency of establishing a permanent and robust drainage system to combat the issue and prevent related health problems. She also emphasized the critical need for thorough and timely desilting of drains across the region.

Finally, the meeting addressed the issue of unauthorized encroachments on DUSIB lands. DUSIB has been tasked with submitting a comprehensive report on all properties under its jurisdiction to address this concern effectively.

CM Gupta’s initiatives underscore a commitment to comprehensive development and improved quality of life for the residents of northwest Delhi.
