New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, speaking at the 4th Commissionerate Day Parade, highlighted the force’s strong performance over the past year in combatting narcotics, cybercrime, crimes against women and children, and white-collar financial fraud.
“Upholding the vision of a ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ advocated by the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister, and guided by the consistent support of the Lt. Governor, Delhi Police has aggressively stepped up action against drug abuse,” Arora said.
In 2024, the force destroyed over 26,000 kg of narcotics worth ₹9,200 crore. This year, up to June, over 4,900 kg worth ₹6 crore has already been disposed of. Additionally, seven high-profile arrests were made under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in NDPS Act, and assets worth ₹4.5 crore were seized. Six MCOCA cases were filed to dismantle organized drug trafficking networks.
Addressing the rollout of the new criminal laws, Arora said Delhi Police has successfully met all transition goals. Over 2.5 lakh FIRs have been registered under the new legal framework, with more than 62,000 chargesheets filed.
Key digital initiatives launched include:
- eNCR for automatic registration of stolen property under ₹5,000, already logging over 1,000 cases.
- e-Sign for ACB to send e-signed charge sheets directly to courts.
- Object Storage system—making Delhi Police the first in India to share draft charge sheets with prosecution electronically.
- Launch of eDAR (April 30) and e-Forensic (June 19), with 23,000 forensic exhibits already recorded.
- Integration of MedLEaPR with CCTNS for timely receipt of MLC and PM reports—7,400+ reports have been received online.
Highlighting achievements in social policing, Arora said the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) has helped reunite numerous missing children with families and has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for global service standards.

Concluding his address, Arora expressed gratitude to the Lt. Governor of Delhi for his continued attention and support: “Despite his demanding responsibilities, he remains deeply connected to every concern and initiative of Delhi Police.”
