Addressing the gathering, CM Rekha Gupta said that cleanliness drives are being conducted daily across thousands of locations in Delhi, thanks to the support of RWAs, religious groups, social workers, and public representatives. “This morning I saw a young boy cleaning a bus stand. It reflects the growing public commitment to this movement,” she said.

“If each citizen ensures cleanliness around their home and locality, Delhi will naturally become a clean, beautiful, and green city,” Gupta added.

During her visit to JJ Colony in Sanjay Basti, the Chief Minister inspected a vacant DDA plot and immediately issued directions to ensure its cleanliness. “All concerned agencies must take responsibility for sanitation within their jurisdictions,” she said, expressing confidence in the collective support of Delhiites.

Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh lauded the initiative, stating:

“Under the strong leadership of CM Rekha Gupta, a war against garbage is underway. The public is actively participating in the cleanliness campaign, and with everyone’s joint effort, Delhi will soon shine as a model city.”
