New Delhi, September 13: In a landmark development, more than 100 employees of the Delhi Power Department have finally received long-pending promotions, a move that Chief Minister Rekha Gupta described as “justice restored after decades of neglect.”
During a ceremony at the Delhi Secretariat, power department staff expressed gratitude to the Delhi Government for reinstating promotions and time-bound promotions that had been stalled for years. The employees hailed the decision as a turning point after a prolonged struggle.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “This is not just an administrative decision but the restoration of justice. After nearly 27 years of neglect, our government is determined to bring Delhi back on the track of growth and efficiency.”

Gupta emphasized that her administration is committed to transparency, accountability, and good governance, ensuring that employees’ rights are protected while pushing Delhi towards accelerated development.
The event was attended by senior government officials and Delhi Minister Ashish Sood, along with several dignitaries who lauded the government’s efforts to prioritize both employees’ welfare and the capital’s progress.
