New Delhi: In a heartwarming Diwali gesture, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva spent the festive evening with children from Than Singh Ki Pathshala, a school for underprivileged kids from Delhi’s slum areas. The event featured a special screening of the Kannada blockbuster ‘Kantara Chapter 1’, offering the children a joyful cinema experience many of them had never known before.
Sharing the moment on social media platform X, Sachdeva wrote,
“True Diwali lies in lifting up those who strive for a better life. Today, I had the privilege of celebrating with the students of Than Singh ki Pathshala. These children, born and brought up in slum areas, found a new sense of living through education. Seeing their joy at the cinema was a powerful reminder of the transformation we are committed to achieving.”
Sachdeva described the smiles of the children as “the brightest Diwali lights of all.”
