Army Vehicle and Government-Marked Innova Collide at Vijay Chowk; One Car Overturns

New Delhi: A road accident was reported at Vijay Chowk in Central Delhi after two vehicles — one belonging to the Army and another Innova marked “Government of India” — collided with each other. Following the impact, one of the vehicles overturned, triggering immediate security and traffic response in the high-security zone.

According to initial information, the collision occurred near Vijay Chowk, an area known for tight security arrangements due to its proximity to key government establishments. Visuals from the spot show significant damage to the vehicles, indicating a strong impact.

Security personnel and traffic police rushed to the scene shortly after the accident to regulate traffic and assess the situation. Authorities are yet to confirm the cause of the collision. Details regarding injuries or casualties, if any, are awaited.

Given the sensitivity of the location, officials are examining CCTV footage and gathering statements to determine the sequence of events. Traffic movement in the area was temporarily affected as the overturned vehicle was moved aside and normalcy restored.
