Tillu Gang Link Busted! 7 Arrested with Bulletproof Vehicle in Delhi Crackdown

Date:

New Delhi: In one of the biggest crackdowns on organised crime in recent months, the Outer North District of Delhi Police has dismantled a well-organised arms supply and criminal syndicate, arresting seven accused and recovering a massive cache of illegal weapons, ammunition, luxury assets, and a specially modified bulletproof vehicle.

The multi-layered operation was carried out by teams of PS Alipur, Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS), and ABS units under the close supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Hareshwar Swami. The crackdown followed a spike in organised criminal activities in the region, prompting intensified surveillance and intelligence-based operations.

Case 1: Tajpur Kalan Raid Exposes High-Profile Crime Network

On March 19, acting on specific intelligence inputs about armed criminals operating from Village Tajpur Kalan, a special raiding team was constituted. The police first intercepted accused Amit (37) outside a residence and recovered an illegal firearm along with five live cartridges from his vehicle.

Sustained interrogation led police to the main accused, Pardeep Kumar alias Neetu alias Sehwag (37), identified as the mastermind. He, along with associates Sahil (26) and Vikash (25), was apprehended during a subsequent raid at the premises.

Police revealed that Pardeep is a known “Bad Character” with at least seven previous criminal involvements and is an active member of the notorious Tillu gang. He was operating as a bookie, financier, and property dealer while simultaneously running illegal activities.

Massive Recovery: Weapons, Cash, Gold & Bulletproof Vehicle

A detailed search of the premises and vehicles exposed a sophisticated criminal setup. The recoveries included:

Weapons: One shotgun (12 bore), two illegal pistols, one revolver, and over 22 rounds of live ammunition of different calibres
Cash & Valuables: ₹19.78 lakh in cash, 916 grams of gold, 940 grams of silver, and 13 luxury wristwatches
Technology: 27 mobile phones and two laptops suspected to be used for betting and coordination
Vehicles: A specially modified bulletproof Scorpio and a KIA Sonet car

Investigators believe the bulletproof vehicle was intended for high-risk criminal activities, indicating the level of planning and sophistication of the syndicate.

Case 2: AATS Operation in Bawana Uncovers Arms Supply Chain

In a parallel operation on March 14, the AATS team acted on intelligence regarding illegal arms trafficking near Khera Village canal in Bawana. A trap was laid during late-night hours.

At around 1:30 AM, two motorcycles carrying suspects approached the location. While one motorcycle managed to escape, the second slipped during an attempted getaway, leading to the arrest of two accused on the spot. A third आरोपी was later apprehended during follow-up raids.

The arrested individuals were identified as Ravi Singh (29), Mohd. Sahil (25), and Md. Akram alias Sahil (22).

From their possession, police recovered:

Multiple country-made pistols and revolvers
Magazines and several live cartridges (including .32 bore and 12 bore ammunition)
A motorcycle used for transporting illegal weapons
A bag used for carrying arms
Modus Operandi & Network

Police investigations revealed that the accused were actively involved in procuring and supplying illegal firearms across regions. They used motorcycles for quick mobility and chose isolated locations to conduct transactions, helping them evade law enforcement.

The syndicate also reportedly used threats and violence to recover betting money, with some members acting as enforcers.

Two separate FIRs have been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act. Police are now working to identify other absconding members, trace the origin of illegal weapons, and uncover the financial links of the network.

Officials said the operation sends a strong message to organised crime groups and reflects Delhi Police’s zero-tolerance approach towards illegal arms and criminal syndicates.

The investigation is ongoing, with more arrests and recoveries likely in the coming days.
