Interstate Burglar Arrested by Delhi Crime Branch in Karnataka Gold Theft Case

New Delhi: In a significant breakthrough, the WR-II unit of the Crime Branch, Delhi Police has arrested a notorious interstate burglar wanted in a high-value gold theft case registered in Karnataka.

The arrest marks the first major breakthrough in the case involving the theft of approximately 800 grams of gold jewellery. Police officials said the accused is linked to multiple burglary cases across different states.

Investigations revealed that the accused, along with his gang, would target locked houses in South India. They allegedly posed as tourists to avoid suspicion and carried out burglaries during daytime when residents were away.

The operation was successfully led by Inspector Akshay Gahlaut under the supervision of ACP Rajpal Dabas and DCP Harsh Indora.

Further investigation is underway to identify other gang members and recover the remaining stolen property.
