New Delhi: In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the Delhi Police on Friday arrested the father of notorious gangster Neeraj Bawana during one of the largest joint operations in recent years. The raids, carried out across Delhi NCR and Haryana, targeted multiple criminal networks linked to Bawana and rival gangs, dealing a heavy blow to syndicate operations.
According to officials, the Outer North and Rohini police teams conducted raids at 39 different locations, leading to the arrest of six suspects and the detention of 36 others for questioning. During the raids, police seized ₹50 lakh cash, 1.36 kg gold, 15 kg silver, four firearms, 21 live rounds, a bulletproof Scorpio SUV, motorcycles, and 26 mobile phones.

DCP Hareswar Swamy confirmed that the gangster’s father was arrested under the Arms Act, while key associates of the Tillu Tajpuria gang were also caught in simultaneous raids. Police revealed that a key operative, Mukesh alias Bhagwan—linked to the Tillu gang—was raided at Shahbad Dairy, where large amounts of cash and gold were recovered.
The investigation further exposed that Shakti, son of Rakesh Maan, in possession of a bulletproof car, is facing a murder charge, and two additional weapons with 14 live rounds were seized from him.
Police sources said, “No Gang, No Gangster—this is our mission. We will continue these crackdowns until organized crime is eliminated from Delhi.”
The Delhi Police emphasized that these operations are part of a long-term strategy to dismantle criminal syndicates operating across Delhi and neighboring states, warning that such raids will intensify in the coming weeks.
