New Delhi, September 13: In yet another incident of overspeeding accident in Delhi, a speeding car lost control near Mukarba Chowk flyover and crashed directly onto the railway tracks below, disrupting train services for nearly 45 minutes.
According to eyewitnesses, the car was moving at a speed of over 120 kmph when it veered off the flyover and landed between two active railway lines. Quick action by alert locals, who flagged down an approaching train using a red T-shirt, averted a major disaster.

Railway services were halted immediately, and police along with railway officials rushed to the spot. With the help of local residents and a crane, the damaged vehicle was removed from the tracks, after which train operations resumed smoothly.
Officials confirmed that the driver of the car sustained injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.

The accident triggered panic among commuters as several trains, including those heading towards Ghaziabad, were delayed during the morning rush hour. Eyewitnesses reported that the vehicle burst through the side of the flyover before plunging onto the tracks, leaving the car mangled.

Authorities have launched a probe into the incident and stressed that reckless driving and overspeeding remain a serious threat on Delhi’s roads.
