New Delhi: To ensure efficient municipal services and timely civic upkeep, Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Mrs. Satya Sharma, along with local BJP MLA Ajay Mahawar, conducted an intensive inspection of Bhajanpura Ward in the Shahdara North Zone of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
The inspection was attended by local councillor Rekha Rani, Additional Commissioner Jitendra Yadav, Engineer-in-Chief K.P. Singh, Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Kumar, and senior MCD sanitation and engineering officials. Mrs. Sharma reviewed ongoing development works, sanitation infrastructure, and interacted with local residents to assess ground-level issues.
Prioritizing Public Grievances and Sanitation
Mrs. Sharma stated that since the BJP-led MCD assumed charge, there has been a renewed focus on resolving citizen grievances on priority. She assured residents that civic complaints, especially regarding drain cleaning, sanitation, and waterlogging, would be addressed swiftly.

She instructed officials to undertake timely and comprehensive drain cleaning, including minor and internal drains, to prevent waterlogging during the monsoon. Mrs. Sharma also ordered deployment of additional sanitation manpower and machinery in areas facing chronic drainage issues.
Development with Accountability
Emphasizing the need for transparent and accountable development, Mrs. Sharma directed officials to speed up civic projects and personally monitor execution. She reiterated the MCD’s commitment to delivering better urban infrastructure and basic amenities to residents.
She concluded by stating that the Delhi BJP-led MCD government is determined to enhance public living conditions and ensure visible improvements in civic facilities, drainage systems, and sanitation services across Delhi.
