New Delhi: Dwarka police have seized 8,000 illicit liquor quarters marked “For Sale in Haryana Only” and apprehended one person in an alleged Haryana-to-Delhi supply network.
The liquor was packed in 160 cartons, police said. The Special Staff of Dwarka district also seized the tempo allegedly used to transport the consignment.
Probe to trace others in supply network
Police said further investigation was underway to identify other people involved in the network. The action was part of the district’s “Nashe Par Lagaam, Desh Ko Salaam” campaign against illicit liquor trafficking.
The official update did not disclose the apprehended person’s identity or the precise place of interception.
