Counterfeit Kingpin Crushed: Delhi Police Smashes Fake Cosmetics Network

Date:

New Delhi: In a major crackdown on counterfeit goods, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has dismantled a well-organized fake cosmetics manufacturing network operating in the city.

During the operation, police arrested the kingpin along with three associates and seized more than 20,000 counterfeit cosmetic items. The raid also led to the recovery of duplicate Veet products, along with raw materials and machinery used in the illegal manufacturing process.

The accused were running an illegal factory in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, where fake cosmetic products were being produced and packaged to resemble branded items.

Police officials said the counterfeit products were being supplied to local markets and weekly bazaars, posing a serious risk to public health due to the use of substandard and potentially harmful ingredients.

The operation was carried out by the WR-I team of Crime Branch, led by Inspector Pardeep Kumar under the leadership of ACP Rajkumar and supervised by DCP Harsh Indora.

Officials stated that strict action will continue against such counterfeit networks to protect consumers and curb illegal manufacturing activities.
