Delhi Govt School Students Selected for Germany’s APAL 2025 Project: CM Rekha Gupta Calls Them Ambassadors of New India

Date:

New Delhi: In a major boost to global education exposure for Delhi’s youth, 14 students from Delhi government schools have been selected for Germany’s prestigious APAL (Ausbildung Programm für Auszubildende in Deutschland) Project 2025, an international vocational training program under the Federal Employment Agency of Germany.

Addressing a felicitation ceremony at the Delhi Secretariat, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Education Minister Ashish Sood extended their congratulations and best wishes to the selected students, who will undergo dual vocational training in Germany for a period of 3 to 3.5 years.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta praised the achievement, stating:

“These children, despite limited means, have soared high with their determination and hard work. Their selection is a testament to the Delhi Government’s unwavering commitment to ensure that every child receives quality education, skill development, and international opportunities.”

She added that the government’s vision is to enable every child, regardless of socio-economic background, to access world-class education.

“This journey is not just theirs—it is symbolic of a New India, where dreams are limitless,” she said.

Education Minister Ashish Sood said the initiative is part of a larger collaboration between the Delhi Government and the German Government, with a focus on skilling and employability.

“This is the first time such a program has been launched. These students are not only going abroad to learn, but also to become ambassadors of India,” he said.

The APAL project, he explained, allows selected students to gain practical training in a globally acclaimed skill development system and prepares them for job placement in Germany. The initiative, he said, aligns with national campaigns like Skill India launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which have significantly elevated India’s image in the global employment ecosystem.

“They should return and contribute to their families, communities, and country,” he said.

He concluded by reaffirming the government’s commitment to enhancing vocational and skill-based education under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.
