Four Bodies Found in a House in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri, Police Suspect Suffocation

Date:

New Delhi: In a chilling discovery, four dead bodies were recovered from a single residence in Delhi’s Dakshinpuri area, prompting a full-scale investigation by the police. Authorities arrived at the scene after receiving an alert from a local resident and found the bodies lying under suspicious circumstances.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, preliminary observations by the police suggest that suffocation may have led to the fatalities. However, officials have refrained from making any definitive statements until postmortem reports are available.

Forensic and crime investigation teams have been dispatched to the spot, and the area has been sealed off for evidence collection. The incident has sent shockwaves through the neighbourhood, as investigators work to determine whether foul play, accident, or a medical cause was behind the mysterious deaths.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Ankit Chouhan reported that authorities received a distress call around 11:15 AM from an individual concerned about his brother, who had not responded to knocks on his door.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officials found four individuals unconscious within the room. The area contained several air conditioning units and gas cylinders, raising immediate concerns for their safety. All four were promptly evacuated and transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Unfortunately, three of the individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival, while one died during treatment, said DCP.

Preliminary investigations suggest that there was no indication of foul play. However, authorities are continuing to examine the situation to ascertain whether a gas leak may have contributed to this tragic event. Further updates will be provided as the investigation unfolds.
