New Delhi: The Delhi government has announced a major push towards high-end technology development, stating that the capital is entering a new phase of the semiconductor revolution with a comprehensive policy aimed at transforming the city into a key technology hub.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the upcoming Semiconductor Policy will position Delhi as a strong centre for chip design, fabrication, research, and advanced manufacturing, aligning with India’s broader vision of technological self-reliance.
Officials highlighted that the initiative is not just about industrial growth but will also generate high-quality employment opportunities for youth, strengthen the electronics value chain, and attract both domestic and global investments.
The policy is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing India’s capabilities in semiconductor technology, a sector considered vital for future innovations in electronics, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure.
