New Delhi: In a major interstate operation, the NR-II unit of Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a robbery kingpin wanted in multiple cases in Bihar, delivering a significant breakthrough in tackling cross-border crime.

The accused was allegedly involved in two major armed robbery cases in Bihar, where a total of ₹12.8 lakh was looted, including incidents of ₹2.8 lakh and ₹10 lakh. After committing the crimes, he had been evading arrest and was hiding in Delhi to escape the Bihar Police.

Police sources revealed that the accused has a serious criminal background, with involvement in cases of dacoity, attempt to murder, robbery, and violations under the Arms Act.

The arrest was carried out following sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering by the Crime Branch team. The operation was led by Inspector Sandeep Swami under the supervision of ACP Girish Kaushik, with overall guidance from DCP Pankaj Kumar.

Officials said the arrest will help Bihar Police in progressing ongoing investigations and may lead to further disclosures regarding the accused’s network and past crimes.

The operation highlights the growing coordination between state police forces in cracking down on interstate criminal networks.
