New Delhi: Delhi Police arrested a suspect at Mughalsarai railway station in Uttar Pradesh in connection with the killing of watchman Dilip Kumar in Model Town, according to a public account of the police operation by Chandan Kumar.
Kumar worked at a building under construction in Derawal Nagar. The account identified the suspect as Rahul, also known as Gulab, and said he was arrested within 12 hours.
Search at the railway station
The account said investigators used clues from the scene, local information and technical inputs to identify and trace the suspect. Police suspected he was heading towards Bihar and worked with railway staff to search train coaches.
A dispute over money and alleged insulting behaviour were mentioned as possible motives in the preliminary investigation.
