Delhi Police Holds Interstate Security Meet Ahead of Independence Day 2026; CP Anurag Kumar Calls for Enhanced Coordination

New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Anurag Kumar on Wednesday chaired an Interstate Coordination Meeting at the Delhi Police Headquarters to strengthen coordination among law enforcement agencies and ensure peaceful and incident-free Independence Day 2026 celebrations.

The meeting focused on enhancing intelligence sharing, operational coordination and joint preparedness among police forces and central enforcement agencies in view of the upcoming Independence Day security arrangements.

Senior police officers from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir and Chandigarh (UT) participated in the meeting.

Senior officials from Central Intelligence and Enforcement Agencies also attended the meeting to review security preparedness and reinforce inter-agency cooperation for the national celebrations.

Delhi Police said the meeting was aimed at strengthening interstate coordination and ensuring comprehensive security measures for a safe and secure Independence Day across the National Capital.
