Missing Man Found Safe After Hours-Long Search in Delhi’s Yamuna Khadar

Date:

New Delhi: A 26-year-old man reported missing from Swaroop Nagar has been found safe after a police team searched a difficult stretch of the Yamuna floodplain for two to three hours, Outer North District police said on October 26.

The search followed a missing-person report lodged by his father at Swaroop Nagar police station on October 24. Police said the man had left home the previous day and messages received by people close to him raised concerns for his safety.

Technical enquiries narrowed search area

Technical analysis and field enquiries led the team to the Yamuna Khadar area near Jagatpur. Dense bushes, difficult terrain and limited visibility made the search challenging, according to the police statement.

Officers searched the area for approximately two to three hours before locating the man in distress. Police said they brought him to safety and took steps to address his immediate well-being.

Swaroop Nagar team carried out search

The team comprised Head Constables Jagjit, Ankur and Sandeep, led by Inspector Kaushlesh Kumar Jha, ATO at Swaroop Nagar police station, under the supervision of ACP Ravinder Singh.

The missing-person report was recorded as DD No. 54A. The statement was issued by Outer North DCP Shobhit D. Saksena.
