Delhi Gears Up for Global Summits: CM Rekha Gupta Reviews Preparations for India-Africa Forum, Big Cat Alliance Meets

New Delhi: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta chaired a high-level review meeting at the Delhi Secretariat to assess preparations for two major international events — the 4th India-Africa Forum Summit (IAFS-IV) and the 1st International Big Cat Alliance (IBCA) Summit, scheduled to be held from May 28 to June 1, 2026.

During the meeting, officials were directed to ensure that all arrangements meet the highest standards, given the global significance of the events. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for round-the-clock (24×7) control rooms, appointment of nodal officers, and real-time monitoring systems to manage operations efficiently.

Special focus was also laid on improving cleanliness, civic infrastructure, and public amenities across key markets and tourist destinations in the city, ensuring a seamless experience for international delegates and visitors.

The meeting highlighted Delhi’s readiness to host global summits while reinforcing its commitment to efficient governance and world-class urban management.
