New Delhi: In a significant move aimed at strengthening inclusive and community-centric policing, Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha on Thursday unveiled the official logo of SPUNER at the Police Headquarters (PHQ).
The newly launched logo symbolises SPUNER’s core commitment towards ensuring safety, accessibility, and building trust among the North-East, Gorkha, and Ladakhi communities residing in the national capital. The initiative is part of Delhi Police’s broader strategy to enhance outreach and responsiveness to vulnerable and diverse population groups.
As part of these efforts, Delhi Police has also operationalised a dedicated North-East Helpline (1093), providing immediate assistance and support to individuals from the region. In addition, 24×7 mobile patrol units have been deployed to ensure swift response, strengthen ground-level policing, and enhance public safety across the city.
Officials said the initiative reflects a continued focus on community engagement, aiming to create a more secure and inclusive environment for all residents in Delhi.
